  • OE Spec or Performance/Custom: OE Spec
  • Returns Accepted: Returns Accepted
  • Brand: Delco
  • Item must be returned within: 30 Days
  • Restocking Fee: 15%
  • Condition: Remanufactured by an authorized Delco facility. Excellent condition, with a new face, although, keep in mind, they were manufactured a minimum of 7 years ago. This particular face develops a bit of stickiness when it sits around that long. We usually wipe them down to remove a hazy film but you may still notice a few tell-tale signs and you will notice the finish is soft on them and easily scratched. You may also notice a button will stick every once in a while. It is usually easily remedied by pressing the button again. These are nice radios and, as you can see, we're selling the heck out of them and have lots of glowing feedback. But please don't say we didn't mention the potential cosmetic issues. -- FYI: We sell a brand new version of the same radio for about more in listing 371781177270. -- Match your part number! Seriously!! They made several versions that look the same and they are not interchangeable.

    DETAILS
This is a factory remanufactured OEM VW radio with single CD player. It is in excellent condition because it has been remanufactured by an authorized Delco facility. Although the faces are new, keep in mind they were manufactured a minimum of 7 years ago. The plastic on this face develops a bit of a sticky film. We usually wipe them down to remove a haze left by the film but you may still notice a few tell-tale signs. And you will notice it scratches easily, especially if you have fingernails. (Finish wear is not covered under the warranty, as a result.)
You may also notice a button will stick every once in a while. It is usually easily remedied by pressing the button again.
These are great radios and, as you can see, we've been selling the heck out of them and have received lots of glowing feedback. But it does have the design/age flaws indicated. We cannot help that. It is what it is. We did not make them. We are merely reselling them.

**If you have problems with the wipers not working after installing this radio, please remove the radio and re-install it. (Multiple times, if necessary.) There is a sensor behind the radio that wreaks havoc on the CAN system (a computer network of sorts) in these vehicles if it thinks the radio isn't present. Please also make sure your hood latch sensor is functioning properly. It can cause the same issue, if the car thinks the hood isn't closed properly. Installing (and re-installing) this radio should involve opening the hood to disconnect the battery, so that's why the hood sensor can come into play. Information regarding the wiper problem can be found online on a popular Touareg forum. Your knee-jerk reaction might be to assume you received a bad radio but the radio has never been the actual cause of this problem, in our experience. It's one of those sensors not reading correctly that causes it and that is a by-product of changing the radio. Not a problem with the radio itself. Luckily it is usually pretty easy to remedy by re-installing the radio and/or playing with the hood latch. It is rare for one of those sensors to need replaced.
It is the part number listed and it is in excellent condition. If you don't match your VW part number and then have difficulties, that's not a defect. It is important to match your VW part number! An application list is just a starting point and there are additional considerations besides whether your vehicle is listed. There is no substitute for common sense and basic research. Ask
    before
purchasing if you have a question.

    THEFT CODE ENTRY PROCEDURES
Please do NOT follow instructions you find elsewhere on the internet. Some VW radios (especially older ones) use a different procedure that will cause your radio to lock temporarily, if attempted.
Locate the 4-digit security code for your radio. (New or remanufactured VW radios purchased from ReplacementRadios often include the code on a sticker affixed to the top of the radio.) If you don't have it, you will need to obtain it from a VW dealer. They can look it up if you provide your VIN and the serial number from the radio. (It looks kind of like VIN too.) Some dealers charge for this service, while others do not.
After you install your radio and reconnect the battery, your radio will display SAFE momentarily, then it will usually change to display the number 1000. Once you see this, follow the procedures below:
Repeatedly press and release preset 1 until the first digit of the code appears
Repeatedly press and release preset 2 until the second digit of the code appears
Repeatedly press and release preset 3 until the third digit of the code appears
Repeatedly press and release preset 4 until the fourth digit of the code appears
    Press
    and hold
the 'Up' (Fwd) Seek/Scan button for
    at least
    2 seconds
If you enter the incorrect code, a number will appear next to the word SAFE. If the wrong code is entered twice, the radio will display SAFE 2 and will be temporarily locked. If this happens you need to leave the radio on continuously for approximately one hour so it will reset back to regular SAFE mode. You do not need to have the engine running but the radio must be powered on and showing the SAFE 2 message the whole time. Once 1000 is displayed on the screen again, you can enter the code using the procedures above. (It may display SAFE instead, which usually just requires you to turn the key off for a few seconds, then back on, for it to switch to 1000 on the display.)
    SHIPPING & HANDLING
Shipping cost is based on weight and zip code.  This site does the figuring, not us.  If you feel their calculation is high, you might be underestimating the package weight and/or current shipping costs from our zip code (62401) to yours.  Please don't ding us for shipping in the ratings, as we have no control over ever-increasing carrier rates.
We will enter a tracking number into your order details here on the site.  They will email it to you if your notification preferences are set correctly.
A signature is not typically required. If you are not home to receive the package, it will most likely be left at your door.  Please monitor it's progress and arrange to collect it when it arrives.
This site provides a section/tab in each ad for Shipping information.  We encourage you to check that section for prices, methods, time-frames, etc.
