Set of 2 Sensu Fans from Kintetsu

This vintage 1960’s set of two folding sensu fans came from Kansai’s famous Kintetsu Department Store
.
Finely made of washi rice paper, each fan has an artistic floral print - one in green & yellow and the other in blue tones. They are plain eggshell-white on the back and they have
natural lacqured bamboo struts and a string with a bead. They are unsued and still in the original
gift box.
They
measure 15” or 39cm from tip to tip when open and are 8½” or about 22cm long when closed.
Condition:
These fans show no sign of apparent use but may have a slight patina of age from storage - the box shows some shelf wear

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
