Vintage Hotel Quirinal Rome Luggage Label. Shipped with USPS First Class.
Built in 1865, the Hotel Quirinal was named after one of the seven surrounding hills of Rome, Quirinal hill.
It is said that Quirinal hill acquired its name in honor of the god Quirino.
The hotel, or rather some iteration of it, dates back to 1573 when it was erected as a summer house for Pope Gregory XIII.
The Quirinal is truly a historic Hotel.
And now for over 150 years it has welcomed guests from all over the world and enveloped them with opulence.
But long gone are the days when a bellhop might to offer to glue one of the hotel's labels on as a sort of souvenir, or maybe a bit of a badge of honor to show where you've been.
And what a place to have been, The Hotel Quirinal!
Though you may not have been there yourself, you do have the chance to take home an original luggage label anyway.
At 5.75"x3.5" these labels really shine.  I have up for sale the bottom five out of a stack of seven.  These are all in their original condition with bright vibrant colors, likely uninterrupted, and in the same stack that they were originally brought home in.
This seemingly simple label bearing the Italian flag and the words Hotel Quirinal Rom was designed by graphic artist Navarra S.A., Milano.  Though Navarra may have been better known for his pre-war Italian propaganda pictures.
Maybe it's just Rome you love, or all things Italy.  I know I'm fascinated with the history of it all.  Whatever the reason, I believe that if you're here taking a look at these labels here, you would find them even better in person.
