Van Staal gold bailess surf casting reel. Early model?

Description

For auction is what I believe is an early bailess model van Staal surf spinning reel.  This reel was purchased at an estate sale in Connecticut (where van Staals were originally made).  The reel is bailess and a nice gold color.  Everything works as it should but the reel is used.  The spool drag nut has the "VS" logo as seen on current models but there are no other logo's on the reel whatsoever.  I have not been able to get any additional information on the reel so I don't know the model number.  It is possible that this reel was an early prototype that someone was testing or it might have "walked" out of the manufacturing facility before logo's were added to the reel???
