The quartz is light not dense like Gold, so the quartz does not add a lot of weight to the nugget. I describe it as Alaskan Yukon BC nugget because it was found in Atlin, BC Canada about 50 miles as the crow flies from Skagway Alaska where the miners of the 1898 Klondike gold rush traveled through to reach the gold fields.
