Original And Professionally Framed Frank Stefanko Photo Of Bruce Springsteen.. This never before seen original B/W 8x10 photo of Bruce was part of the photo shoot done at Frank’s Haddonfield NJ home for the Darkness On The Edge of Town album. It is professionally framed in an old Victorian look frame and other than a slight tear in the frame backing paper, is pristine. This is a one of a kind item and MUST for any diehard fan of “The Boss.”
Excerpt from Bruce’s autobiography will help authenticate, this rare and historically significant piece:
“I stood against some flowery wallpaper in Frank and his wife’s bedroom, I looked straight into the camera, gave him my best “troubled young man,” and he did the rest. One of these photos ended up on the cover of Darkness on the Edge of Town.
Frank’s photographs were stark. His talent was to get the raw you. His photos had a purity and street poetry to them. They were lovely and true, but they weren’t slick. We had other cover options but they didn’t have the hunger of Frank’s pictures.
