Of all the mining activity in the liberty mining district, there is no gold gold mine that is more famous than the Ace of Diamonds Gold Mine. Not all of the gold that came from this mine was crystallized and the specimens I have are considered some of the best from the mine. The small inclusions of white matrix on the gold is calcite and the rich deposit of calcite in this region is what helped form these magnificent wire gold specimens. They are unlike any other gold in the world and are fantastic.
