    Description

    This auction contains a VERY RARE 1975 AUTOGRAPH of rock icon BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN on the back of a 3x5" Asbury Jukes "Mailing List Card" obtained in-person at the legendary Stone Pony club.    Vintage authentic 1975-era Springsteen autographs are extremely difficult to find ... back then he clearly wrote out EVERY letter in his name, and he also added "Love" to this perfect autograph.  The original recipient added a pencil notations on the front of the card: "Stone Pony" and "1975".
    The original recipient was in The Stone Pony to see the NEW house band "SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY & THE ASBURY JUKES"... in 1975 they played three nights a week at The Pony (Tues./Thurs./Sundays).   Springsteen was often there, and sometimes he joined the bands on stage.  When she spotted Springsteen at the bar, she wanted to get his autograph.  She went to the front door and took a "mailing list card" for the new Jukes, and got Bruce to sign on the reverse of the card.   It was then neatly taped into a scrapbook where it remained for about twenty years, until I purchased it about 25 years ago.   This is most likely the only Jukes 1975 Stone Pony mailing list card in existence, and is certainly the only one hand-signed by Springsteen.
    Great association between Springsteen, Asbury Park N.J., The Stone Pony nightclub, and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes --- signed the year he achieved superstardom with his third album.
