    Description

    This is an ultra rare ORIGINAL 1969 flyer promoting a concert by Rock Legend BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN.   At this time, he had recently changed the name of his band from "Child" to "Steel Mill".   This flyer promotes a December 20th, 1969 concert by "Steel Mill" at the "Challenger Eastern Surfboard Factory"  (owned by their manager, Carl "Tinker" West).   The band members lived and often rehearsed at the factory, and on 12/20/69 they did a concert there to raise money for their upcoming cross-country drive to California (where they auditioned for Bill Graham).   This flyer gives directions to the factory, and notes "donations at the door".   Size is 8.5 x 11"... see condition description... it is over 51 years old.   Originally obtained from Bruce's "First Fan" and later his personal assistant, Obie Dziedzic, who collected all N.J. music memorabilia... she was likely the ONLY person who saved one of these flyers.
    At this time, the band consisted of Bruce Springsteen, Danny Federici (organ),  Vinnie Roslin (bass), and Vini Lopez (drums)...
