19.15 Gram Natural Gold Nugget (Humboldt County, CA) W/24" 10k Gold Chain
This is a 19.15 natural gold nugget that I found, among others, on my fathers claims in Humboldt County, California many years ago. I had a 14k bail put on it, purchased a 24’ gold rope 10k chain for it and gave it to my late wife who passed in 2018.
On occasion, she would show it to her friends and family because of its natural beauty and rarity and return it to her jewelry box, but strangely enough she never liked wearing it.
This is a natural gold nugget with some small bits of quartz in its matrix and weighs 19.15 grams. The bail was custom made by the local jeweler and is of 14k gold. The rope chain is 10k, weight 18.81 grams and goes well with the nugget. What I mean by that is; that the chain is well constructed but doesn’t overpower the beauty of the gold nugget.
